On April 6,7 2019, The APHS Great Debaters competed in The NYCULD State Championship at William Cullen  Bryant High School in Queens, NY. En’Niah Preston, Lucero Ruiz, Deicie Vasquez, Christlie Lavarin, Meliza Garcia, and Jasmin Carter were the first APHS Debaters to qualify for the state tournament. All debaters did a great job on Saturday for the first 3 debate rounds.  

En’Niah, Christlie, Deicie, and Meliza made it for the second competition on Sunday. And Finally Christlie Lavarin received 6th place for top speaker in the State Competition. The APHS Great Debaters ended the season phenomenally.​
